Phillip Hayes brings more than 15 years of experience to North Bridge Communications in public affairs, media relations, online advocacy, grassroots mobilizations, and crisis communications.

Currently overseeing the food and farm practice at North Bridge Communications – a firm he co-founded – Hayes previously served as the American Sugar Alliance’s communications director, was an associate partner with The Aker Partners, and worked on Hill & Knowlton’s media team.

He began his career on Capitol Hill as a legislative assistant for a member of the House Appropriations Committee and as the staff director of the Senate Agriculture Subcommittee on Production and Price Competitiveness.

A graduate from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Hayes holds degrees in journalism and history.
