North Bridge Communications has arguably more experience harnessing the political power of agriculture than any company in the country. That’s because our firm was built on its rural roots, and for the past decade the food and farm community has remained the bulk of our business.

After organizing public affairs campaigns for dozens of agricultural organizations and handling complex legislative issues for members of Congress, the practitioners at North Bridge Communications have the contacts and know-how needed to succeed in today’s competitive world of food and farm politics.

We can reach rural America in addition to DC thought leaders, too. So whether you’re a grower organization that needs to enhance its presence on Washington’s storied K Street, or an agribusiness that needs to be heard on Main Street, North Bridge can help.

Partner profile

Phillip Hayes co-founded North Bridge Communications and leads the firm’s renowned food and farm practice. Hayes served as a staff director for a Senate Agriculture Subcommittee chaired by Sen. Pat Roberts (R-Kan.), staffed a member of the House Agriculture Appropriations Subcommittee, worked for one of the biggest PR firms in the world, and was the communications director for the U.S. sugar industry. Throughout his career, he’s represented most aspects of production agriculture and was sponsored for membership to the National Press Club by some of Washington’s most recognized farm policy journalists.
